Drum set/ Hand Drums & World Percussion

Justin teaches all levels: Beginning - Professional. Students will learn all styles, develop techniques and build reading and listening skills. Establishing time keeping skills, while developing groove will be essential.

Rudimental Drumming/ Marching Percussion

This is the foundation. Building a solid rudimental vocabulary is paramount! Students will refine their music reading skills, applying rudiments to exercises and solos. Justin guides students through; snare drum, tenors, bass drum and cymbals to ensure they are prepared for the high school drumline experience.

Concert Percussion -Timpani, Mallets, Snare Drum & ACCESSORIES

Students will learn the fundamentals in mallet playing, timpani, snare drum and accessories. Correct techniques, solo literature and audition preparation are some of the focus Justin teaches.

Cancellation & Attendance Policy

At JT Dream Wave Music Lessons, consistent attendance is essential for student progress. Lesson times are reserved exclusively for each student, and missed lessons cannot typically be filled at short notice.

1. Lesson Cancellations

• A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

• Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be charged in full.

• This includes cancellations due to forgetfulness, scheduling conflicts, or transportation issues.

2. No-Shows

• No-shows (failure to attend without notice) are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

3. Makeup Lessons

• Makeup lessons are not guaranteed and are offered at the instructor’s discretion.

• Makeup lessons may be offered only when:

  • Proper 24-hour notice is given, and

  • An open lesson slot is available within the same billing cycle.

• Makeup lessons do not carry over month to month.

4. Instructor Cancellations

• If the instructor must cancel a lesson, the student will be offered:

  • A makeup lesson, or

  • A credit applied to a future lesson.

5. Illness & Emergencies

• Illness or emergencies are understood; however, the 24-hour cancellation policy still applies.

• In exceptional circumstances, flexibility may be granted at the instructor’s discretion.

6. Late Arrivals

• Lessons will end at the scheduled time, regardless of late arrival.

• Time missed due to lateness cannot be made up or extended.

7. Agreement

By enrolling in JT Dream Wave Music Lessons, students and families acknowledge and agree to this cancellation policy. This policy ensures fairness, professionalism, and respect for all students’ reserved lesson times.
